BBC feature on Wotton Pool

Wotton Pool was featured on BBC Radio Gloucestershire on consecutive Saturdays in April and May. The first was an interview with Alan George, Chairman of the Wotton Pool Trustees on the morning of opening day. In this interview, he explained the pool’s history, the current volunteer-run organisation, how the pool is ‘crowd-funded’ via the Council Tax precept, and the fantastic support the pool receives from the local community.

After hearing this interview, a relative of one of the volunteers who built the pool in the 1950s-60s got in touch with BBC Radio Gloucestershire, and the following Saturday featured a fascinating interview with Fred Dimery, one of the teachers at the local school who was behind the pool’s construction.
Both interviews give fascinating insight on the pool: past and present.

You can hear both interviews  below.
