Wotton Pool will be running regular children’s swimming lessons throughout the summer on Saturday mornings commencing 04/05/24.

Each course will comprise 6 lessons of 30 minutes duration delivered on a weekly basis at the same time (10:00, 10:30 & 11:00).

There will be 3 course levels:

Beginners Intermediate Advanced

Children who cannot swim but are at ease in the shallow end (depth 1 metre) of Wotton Pool

Children who can swim at least a width (6 metres) of Wotton Pool on their front and back

Children who can swim at least a length (20 metres) of Wotton Pool with confidence

It is a requirement that the children on the course should be at ease in
the shallow end of our pool, which is 1 metre deep. Ideally, they should be able to touch the bottom. There could be 6 or more children on each course, so it will not be possible for the teacher to physically support all of the children. Although there is no minimum age for children on the
course, due to the limitations we have at Wotton Pool, children should ideally be of school age.

Please note that it may be necessary to move children up or down a level (after consultation with the parent or guardian) if, in the opinion of the qualified swimming instructor, their needs would be better met in a different class.

The 6 lesson courses will run as follows:

Batch 1 Batch 2 Batch 3

4 May 2024 – 8 June 2024
15 June 2024 – 20 July 2024
27 July 2024 – 31 August 2024

Courses will only run if there is sufficient demand.

Please ensure that your child is confident to enter the water on their own under the supervision of a swimming teacher. Parents are not required to enter the water. In the cases where a child is too nervous to participate in a lesson, it is unlikely that we will be able to offer a refund or an alternative course.

The cost of a course of 6 lessons is £25.
