The returning of the pool to Wotton Town Council by Stroud District Council in 2011 clearly threatened its future existence. While the Swimming Pool Club worked with Stroud District Council and Wotton Town Council to develop a workable operating/business model, many Wotton townsfolk and people from the surrounding villages took it on themselves to help out by just getting on with fundraising and helping. That is enormously appreciated.
