SPLASH!

Wotton Pool is soon opening its new ramp to the wheels of Wotton – be it triathletes and their bikes, wheelchairs or even buggies. However, the babies of Wotton Pool are already back, with our future elites getting an early experience of what Wotton Swimming Pool can offer. The popular baby swimming sessions of 2011 have returned and, two weeks in, are already being enjoyed by a number of adult and baby pairs. Every Tuesday until (and including) 5 June will see a procession of prams towards Wotton Pool, and inside a sea of pleased preschoolers. Wotton Pool has many unique factors which make it an ideal activity for adults with babies in tow – the open plan changing rooms make drying and dressing much easier than cubicles; the proximity of pool to showers; and the session dedicated to preschoolers ensures that the opportunity to gain water confidence from an early age isn’t jeopardised by splashy swimmers. And with the pool heated to at least a toasty 28 C, it is a great wet weather activity! Keep an eye on the website at www.wottonpool.co.uk for the continuation beyond 5 June, and follow us on Twitter @WottonPool for regular information. Miss Minnow.
