Local company Rio Pools is getting on with the Wotton Pool tiling job
We are closing a day early this autumn to get the pool ready for it being tiled for next season.
Anyone passing Symn Lane over the Christmas holidays might have been surprised to see people walking around up high behind the fire station. Well don’t worry, it’s not ASBO kids, we’ve been working hard in the cold rigging up a state of the art solar heating system for the water in Wotton Pool.
A grant from the Summerfield Trust of £8,600 has been confirmed and will enable the solar water heating system to be added to the new roof.
We've had another splendid season and have closed in mid September.
Some major developments have been planned for the 60-year old changing rooms at Wotton Pool and these plans received a major boost earlier this month when a bid for funds from the Cory Environmental Trust for Britain resulted in an offer of £32,400 towards the project.
