And now it’s April! Where did spring spring from? It’s getting closer and closer to the start of the new swimming season: the first under the new management of Wotton Swimming Pool Club and Wotton Swimming Pool Limited. The pool opens on Saturday April 30th, and will be welcoming you all to come for a splash and maybe to start your training regime for this year’s Wotton Triathlon. March 31st saw the official handover of the pool to Wotton Swimming Pool Ltd. The pool this summer will be run slightly differently this year. Wotton Swimming Pool Ltd are a company limited by guarantee, and the pool will be run in combination with Wotton Swimming Pool Club – the group of volunteers who have been involved in developing, maintaining and running the pool for many years. The prices have been reverted to those from 2009, so don’t feel you have to really splash out to swim at Wotton! The opening times are changing too to hopefully make the pool more accessible for a greater audience. These session times have been published in the Wotton Directory, and the Wotton Pool website. The closing date for applications for the pool manager jobs has now passed, and the directors of the company will be looking to get the successful applicants into their positions as soon as possible. However, if you are a qualified lifeguard (or would like to be!) and are looking for some extra hours this summer, then please get in touch via the website.
