It's a 400 yard swim (381m – the pool was built in 1958, using imperial units) followed by a 21 km bike ride and a 2.0 km run. It's a nice, gentle version of the triathlon genre – more of a cotton-wool man than an iron-man event! The event always generates a lot of interest and camaraderie and this year should be no exception
