Bank holiday fun in the sun

Despite a dismal summer last year, the swimmer numbers at Wotton Pool during 2012 fared surprisingly well, with an increase of swims by 10% compared with the 2011 season. Swimming is a great wet weather activity: if you're going out and getting wet anyway, why not go the whole hog and get your bathers on!? At least you're supposed to get soaked when swimming.   However, when the sun shines, people flock to an outdoor swimming pool to cool off, and this is certainly true at Wotton Pool. The glistening water in the sunshine is a beautiful sight, particularly well complemented by our brand new concrete pool surrounds. Over the sunny bank holiday weekend, we saw 156 children, 98 adults, 10 family swims and an additional 24 accompanied children through the gate, or up the ramp, and into the pool. This is a fantastic achievement for Wotton Pool Ltd to successfully negotiate such a busy weekend, particularly as it is still so early in the season, with some new staff, different operational systems, and a huge demand on ice lollies. Well done and thank you to you all, swimmers and staff, for a great weekend.  Lets hope for some more sun again soon...
