The Swimming Pool volunteers are hosting town hall teas again on this Sunday afternoon. Gorgeous cakes, refreshing tea (or coffee of course) and coruscating local company. How can anyone stay away? Proceeds in support of Wotton Pool...

...and we are getting organised for the upcoming season, which is scheduled to start on 16 April -- 2 weeks earlier than usual. Lots to do: cleaning everything up, touching up the paintwork, trimming the vegetation, checking the filtration plant works properly, training life guards and volunteers and putting place all the administrative things needed to run a swimming pool.

Pop in between 2:30 and 5 pm for a nice cup of tea and a generous slice of madeira/fruit/coffee walnut/lemon/danish apple/battenburg/victoria sponge/flapjack/chocolate brownie/almond slice/rice crispy bombe... or whatever the volunteers who help at the swimming pool can muster. And enjoy a pleasurable quiet sojourn, knowing that the proceeds will all go towards the lovely swimming pool that is a jewel in Wotton's crown of community enterprises...

Wotton Pool was featured on BBC Radio Gloucestershire this April. We have the recordings here, including interviews with Fred Dimery, one of the people involved in the pool's construction in the 50s
